What do I actually earn?
Earn points for every tracked delivery. These points are a reward for your transparency. The sooner you start, the more you earn—early contributors benefit from bonuses.
Is it really free?
Yes, the software is completely free. Hardware is optional: NFC tags (small stickers, about €0.50 each) or GPS trackers (€20-50). You can also pool them through your cooperative or get subsidies.
What happens to my points?
Your points are securely stored in your account. Eventually, they will be converted into VRT tokens—tradable on the market at current prices, with no guarantee of value or liquidity. They will also be usable for certifications and services on the platform. Issuance decreases annually: your seniority matters.
Does VeraTrace find customers?
No, that's not our role. But when a demanding buyer — a canteen, a restaurant — compares two producers, the one who can prove their journey has a decisive advantage.
Can my data be shared with authorities?
No. VeraTrace is neither a regulatory body nor an extension of agricultural subsidies or food safety agencies. Your detailed data remains private by default — only the overall score is visible. A broken sensor or missed entry? Your score drops temporarily, that's it. No external alerts, no reporting. Our job: help you demonstrate your work, not monitor you.
I'm not tech-savvy
No problem. You scan a tag with your phone, and the app shows your points. If your farm management software is compatible, it's even automatic. And a phone hotline is available to help you.
My cooperative is interested
Great news! Cooperatives can pool hardware for their members and get a bonus on earned points. Leave your contact details, we'll call you back within 48h.
What if the token is worthless?
Even then, you keep real benefits: automatic compliance with European regulations like EUDR (anti-deforestation), access to markets that require traceability, and a history that proves your good practices.
