Purpose of the Site

The Site is an information platform presenting the VeraTrace project, a blockchain-based food traceability solution. The Site allows visitors to:

Site Access

Account Creation

Certain features of the Site may require creating a user account.

The User undertakes to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering.

The User is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any use of their account is deemed to have been made by them.

VeraTrace reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these Terms.

User Obligations

The User undertakes to use the Site in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and these Terms. The User shall not:

• •Use the Site for illegal, fraudulent purposes or that infringe on the rights of third parties
• •Attempt to disrupt the Site's operation (DDoS attacks, malicious code injection, etc.)
• •Collect personal data of other users without their consent
• •Impersonate a third party or provide false information
• •Distribute illegal, defamatory, insulting, discriminatory content or content that violates privacy
• •Reproduce, copy, sell, or exploit all or part of the Site without authorization
• •Use robots, scrapers, or any other automated means to access the Site
• •Circumvent security measures in place

Intellectual Property

All elements of the Site (structure, design, texts, images, logos, videos, databases, software, etc.) are protected by intellectual property law and belong to VeraTrace SAS or are subject to a license of use.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, transmission, distortion, in whole or in part, of the Site or its content, by any means and on any medium, is prohibited without prior written authorization from VeraTrace SAS.

Trademarks, logos, and other distinctive signs on the Site are the property of VeraTrace SAS or third parties who have authorized their use. Their use without authorization is prohibited.

Liability

Pre-orders

Pre-orders placed on the Site constitute a reservation and not a firm purchase until the product is available.

Specific terms of sale (price, delivery, payment, withdrawal) will be communicated before final order confirmation.

Final order validation will be subject to acceptance of the General Terms of Sale (GTS) which will be available at a later date.

By using the Site, you acknowledge having read this Privacy Policy.

Modification of Terms

VeraTrace reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect upon publication on the Site.

In case of substantial modification, registered users will be notified by email.

Continued use of the Site after publication of modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any clause of these Terms is declared null or unenforceable, the other clauses shall remain in force. The null clause shall be replaced by a valid clause as close as possible to the original intent.

Non-waiver

Failure by VeraTrace to exercise a right provided for in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law, regardless of where the Site is used.

In case of dispute regarding the interpretation or performance of these Terms, the parties shall endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, even in case of multiple defendants or warranty claims.
